Healthcare Professionals Education

Seattle Children’s offers a wide range of educational programs for healthcare professionals, including continuing medical education and continuing nursing education (CME and CNE), conferences and training courses, Grand Rounds, and medical observations.

Seattle Children’s is also home to the University of Washington Pediatric Residency Program, taught by more than 225 academic faculty and 350 clinical faculty, and to over 40 fellowship programs run in conjuction with the University of Washington School of Medicine.

We offer a variety of ways for physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers and other healthcare professionals to further their professional development.

PALS, PEARS and NRP Courses No Longer Open to External Registrants

As of September 1, 2024, our PALS, PEARS and NRP courses are only being offered to Seattle Children’s employees who are instructed to register as needed in Grow@SC.

Grand Rounds and Nursing Videos

Most presentations are available as live streams, and are recorded for later viewing in our online video library. CME credit can be earned for Provider Grand Rounds, and CNE credit is available for certain videos. See individual program pages for schedules and further details.

Residencies and Fellowships

In addition to the University of Washington Pediatric Residency Program and over 40 pediatric fellowship programs, Seattle Children’s also offers residency programs for nurses and pharmacists and fellowships for advanced practice providers and hospital administrators.
