When we ask you to do Your Life's Work at Children's we expect a lot.
Therefore, in order to attract and retain the best people, we must provide not only competitive salaries but the best benefits. In the same way we expect excellence from you, we'll provide you with the best support and resources available.
All major medical benefits are available to employees who are regularly scheduled to work 16 hours per week or more.
Three medical plan options are available through Premera Blue Cross and one is available through Group Health Cooperative. Prescription Drug and vision benefits are available through the major medical plan you choose.
Two dental plan options are available through Washington Dental Service.
Besides offering competitive salaries, Children's cares for your financial stability and security through a variety of resources.
Children’s pays for life and accidental death & dismemberment insurance which are each equal to your annual salary. Supplemental life insurance options are available for employees, dependents, spouses and domestic partners.
Long term disability insurance is provided as income protection in the event you become unable to work due to disability for 90 days or more.
Children's has two retirement plan options:
An account established after you have worked one year and 1000 hours. Full vesting is achieved after three such years. Employees have the option to contribute to the 401(a) plan after 45 days of service. Children’s will match 25 percent of the first 4 percent that employees contribute to the 401(a). Full vesting in the matching contribution is achieved after 3 years.
Although the 403(b) plan is not sponsored by Children's, we provide payroll deduction and on-site meetings with representatives from the investment companies. The Tax-Sheltered retirement plan is a 100 percent voluntary employee contribution and available to all employees from their date of hire.
Health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts are available for your use. Flexible spending accounts help you lower your taxable income when paying for out-of-pocket medical and dependent care expenses.
Children’s employees may become members of the GHCU Credit Union (formerly Group Health Credit Union). GHCU has a few options that are designed specifically for Children’s employees.
We have a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) plan. Accrual rates increase with your years of service. Paid Time Off accruals begin on the first day of employment with accrued time accessible upon date of hire.
Short Term Disability coverage is available when you miss scheduled workdays due to an illness or injury. This provides income protection for up to 90 calendar days, at which time your LTD benefit would go into effect.
Children’s provides eight paid holidays each calendar year. In addition, employees are allotted one floating holiday annually. These holidays are included in your PTO accruals. (RN’s per contract).
