Cafeteria/Sound Café
Our cafeteria, the Sound Café, is located on the 5th floor in the Whale zone. The daily menu is posted at the cafeteria entrance. Drip coffee is available.
The cafeteria does not accept personal checks, but there is a cash machine nearby. VISA and MasterCard are accepted.
Sound Café Hours
Open daily, 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and 1 to 4 a.m.
- Breakfast is 6:30 to 10 a.m.
- Lunch is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Dinner is 5 to 7:30 p.m.
- Grill and breakfast items are available from 1 to 4 a.m.
Microwave ovens are outside the cafeteria and on most inpatient units.
Tully's Coffee (two locations)
Both locations accept cash, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, prepaid Tully's cards and checks with valid driver's license.
1. Just outside Cafeteria/Sound Café on the 5th floor in the Whale zone. Serves espresso drinks, pastries and ice cream (no drip coffee).
- Open Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday, closed
2. Called Giraffe Snacks and Coffee, on the 1st floor in the Giraffe zone. Serves sandwiches, salads, espresso drinks, drip coffee, pastries and ice cream.
- Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Sunday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Family Resource Center, on the 5th floor near the Train elevators, has free coffee for families. It also includes a microwave, sink and eating area.
Deliveries
When ordering food for delivery, give your name, your child's room number and the room's phone number. Have the delivery person use the Giraffe entrance on the 1st floor, which closes daily at 8 p.m., or the Whale entrance on the 5th floor, which closes at 10 p.m. on weekdays and 9 p.m. on weekends. Arrange to meet the delivery person.
Feeding Infants
Most units have special rooms with breast pumps. Talk to your child's nurse about free meals for mothers who are breast-feeding a hospitalized child under the age of 1 year.
Formula
For emergencies, formula and disposable bottles are available in the Inpatient units; please ask a staff member for assistance.
Vending and Cash Machines
Vending and cash machines are located in the following areas:
- On the 5th floor in the Whale zone near the Cafeteria/Sound Café
- Vending area only in the Family Resource Center on the 5th floor in the Train zone
