Most patient rooms have a sleeper chair or couch where one parent or guardian can sleep at night. Staying bedside depends on the patient's condition, available space and safety.
Each day a small number of sleeping rooms are assigned to parents with a child in the ICU. These rooms are assigned based on availability and family eligibility. Contact the ICU at (206) 987-2040 for more information.
