So that we may give your child the best care in the safest environment, please follow all posted hospital rules.
Devices such as cassette and CD players with batteries are okay to have in treatment areas and patient rooms. Remember to put your child's name on everything you bring from home, including clothing, cassette players and books.
Please do not bring valuables to the hospital.
Alcohol, illegal drugs, firearms or weapons are not permitted on hospital property.
Children's is a smoke-free campus, with the exception of one outdoor smoking shelter that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The shelter is located outside the Airplane entrance, opposite the helipad.
For health and safety reasons, children and teens are not allowed in or near the smoking shelter. Smoking is not allowed in front of any hospital entrance or in parking areas at any time.
To protect all of our patients, turn off (not just silence) cell phones, two-way pagers and radios, and radio-controlled toys in treatment areas and patient rooms.
Any plug-in items must be checked for proper grounding by our Biomedical Engineering Department before they can be used. Check with your child's nurse before you use this equipment
