Children's Protection Program

The Children's Protection Program (CPP) coordinates Children's aim to help prevent family violence issues. Members of the CPP work to:

Ensure the health and safety of every child that comes to Children's
Assist families in getting help if child abuse and/ or neglect and/or domestic violence are issues
Educate staff and community on family violence issues
Promote the prevention of child abuse and neglect

Services

See abuse and neglect cases and refer to providers at Children's or in the community.
Train providers on child abuse and neglect issues.
Provides opportunities to learn more on issues of abuse and neglect.

When and How to Report Child Abuse and Neglect

If you suspect a child is being abused or neglected, file a report with the Dept of Social and Health Services/Child Protection Services (DSHS/CPS).

Call DSHS/CPS 24-hour hotline at (866) END HARM (363-4276) or visit the DSHS Web site and find your region's local phone number.

Children's provides health care for the special needs of children regardless of race, sex, creed, ethnicity or disability.
Financial assistance for medically necessary services is based on family income and hospital resources and is provided
to children under age 21 whose primary residence is Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho.
